Wow, can’t believe it’s May already, my birthday month. So you gotta be nice to me for the next 4 weeks. Today we’re going with some MLB picks found using OddsJam. Try OddsJam for yourself by signing up with my affiliate link.
We have a smaller 8 game slate today including a double header in Queens, but still some good prices to be found. On to the picks!
Guardians at Yankees – Cal Quantrill Under 3.5 Strikeouts (+108 FanDuel)

This one is pretty simple. All books have this outcome at minus odds except for FanDuel. Their +108 matches the fair odds so we will happily take that. Another thing to like here is that Quantrill is in the bottom 4% in strikeout rate in MLB. He’s only reached 4 strikeouts in one of five starts.
Guardians at Yankees – Domingo German Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+138 FanDuel)

We’re staying in the Bronx for the next pick. German to go over 5.5 strikeouts at +138 beats its positive expected value of +135. It’s also 19 cents better than the market average. Statcast also backs this up as German is in the 84th percentile in K%. He’s only failed to reach this number once which ironically was against the Guardians. He had zero strikeouts in that game, a dubious feat which I don’t think repeats itself.
Blue Jays at Red Sox – Over 0.5 1st Inning Total Runs (-120 Wynn)

Let’s finish with a fun YRFI bet in Boston. It’s a bit juiced at -120 but the price at Wynn at least equals the fair odds and is 11 cents better than the rest of the market.
What do you think of these picks? Agree or disagree, let me know in the comments!
