MLB Pitcher Props – 6/1

Maybe the Raiders will come back some day…

Is it actually June already?!? Hello folks. I’ve been experimenting with different types of MLB bets so far this season – first 5 innings, race to X runs, total bases props, you name it! But the one bet that I have had solid success with so far is pitcher strikeout props. Here’s a few I like today.

Cole Irvin vs HOU – o3.5 K +112 CZR
Here is my bet of the day. If you want to talk about a guy you can rely on for strike outs, it’s gotta be Irvin. He has posted exactly 4 strikeouts in 6 of his 7 starts! Could today be the day he posts 3? Maybe. But he could also give us 5!! I’m rolling with it.

Brad Keller @ CLE – o3.5 K +130 DK/PB
Keller is not a big strikeout guy with only a 5.27 K/9. However his sinker/slider pitch to contact approach allows him to go deep into games. He has gone 6+ innings in 6 of his 9 starts which gives him the chance to get at least 4 Ks given his K rate. His opponent, the Cleveland Guardians, actually have the second best team K%. Alas, that is not a predictive stat, merely what they’ve accomplished so far. So we can expect their team K rate to regress slightly. And that’s all we need for today! And also at +130 it’s hard to pass up.

Carlos Carrasco vs WSH – o4.5 K +100 DK
Believe it or not the Nationals have the BEST team K% in MLB. There are times when you want to lean in to the best/worst K% teams for different reason. Today I am fading the Nats’ team K% in favor of Carrasco getting more than 5 Ks. While not possessing a tremendous K/9 (7.96 K/9), he has the ability to strikeout 7-8 batters in any game. He has been over 5 strikeouts in 6 of 9 starts. And he has already faced Washington twice and struck out 5 batters in each game.
