Seattle Kraken @ St. Louis Blues – 4/6

Enterprise Center – see a hockey game & rent a car right after

#UPDATED#

Seattle’s inaugural season has not gone according to plan. The amazing debut season of the Vegas Golden Knights probably spoiled us into thinking any expansion team could do what they did. But alas, the Kraken reside at the depths of the Pacific Division standings, with only Davey Jones and his locker to keep them company. Meanwhile St. Louis is having another solid season. They sit in 3rd place in the Central Division, 4 points clear of the next wild card team. However, one must never rest on one’s laurels, as the Blues are being chased by four quality teams.

Seattle will start Chris Driedger in net tonight. His season numbers look pretty mediocre – 3.05 GAA, .898 SV%. But over his last 5 games he has been very good, posting 2.00 GAA and .935 SV% ratios. Ville Husso will be the starter at the other end of the ice. He has also been very good lately, with a 2.30 GAA and .928 SV% over his last 5. These numbers mostly match up with his season and career numbers. I think the regression monster is coming for Driedger, which will appear in the form of the Blues’ top 5 offense. St. Louis is healthy and has been scoring 3.9 goals per game over their last 10.

My Pick: I’m putting .5u on o6 total goals, and .5u on St. Louis o3.5 team total.

Result: St. Louis got their 4 goals, but Seattle couldn’t hold up their end of the bargain with only 1 goal past Husso.
